Research Analyst | London - Full Time

About Turnstile
Turnstile is a highly specialised sponsorship valuation agency built to support rights holders and brands navigate the complexities of sponsorship pricing in a rapidly evolving sport & entertainment industry.

Our vision is to shape a better future for the sport and entertainment industry by providing a fair market pricing mechanism that helps buyers and sellers understand the true value of sponsorship assets.

Our pioneering approach to valuing sponsorship is shifting the industry dialogue away from an over reliance on exposure value to a more holistic view of pricing and is being rapidly adopted across the industry.

Our values of empathy, dynamism, discipline and integrity drive our business. More than just words in a vision document, we take our values seriously. We measure them, hold ourselves accountable and hire accordingly. We invest in our people and work hard to provide a positive, professional, fun and inclusive workplace.

If all of the above sounds interesting, then look no further, we’re hiring for an Insights Analyst to join our team which is based in London but working with colleagues and clients around the world.

About the role
You will be playing a key role in the Data & Insights team, a function that exists to ensure that the business is perfectly positioned to deliver a premium, data-driven, fair market pricing sponsorship valuation service to the market.

As part of the team behind the team, day-to-day life will vary as you support a range of stakeholders across Customer Success, Product Development and Sales & Marketing. Tasks will typically involve managing bespoke research projects, analysing internal and external data sets, testing and documenting new methodologies, and collating insights to support Turnstile’s data-led marketing initiatives.

More specifically you will be tasked with:

  • Supporting delivery and analysis of Turnstile’s global proprietary research program (including multi-market consumer research, fan base sizing and impact studies)
  • Assisting delivery of quantitative consumer research projects from questionnaire design to efficient, accurate data analysis and clear and concise articulation of key insights
  • Playing a leading role in the management of Turnstile’s Data & Insights repositories, ensuring that they are always maintained and up to date with the latest data available
  • Supporting the Customer Success (Sponsorship Valuation) team as required with the provision of data and insight to improve the quality, speed, efficiency of client projects
  • Assisting delivery of select client projects as required or where the focus of the project is research driven (e.g., landscape reports, fan base profiling, bespoke research)
  • Supporting the development of Turnstile Intellectual Capital by helping to identify areas for improvement, exploring and testing solutions and documenting methodologies
  • Managing external partners and suppliers including research agencies and business intelligence providers
  • Assisting with the development and publication of industry research reports and market commentary
  • Building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders

About you
We’re looking for a candidate with 1-2 years-experience in a research, management consultancy or sports / media position.

Whilst it would be advantageous, we’re not expecting you to have existing sport & entertainment industry experience. You will however need to have a keen interest in the sport & entertainment industry and a desire to learn quickly and develop your skills.

More specifically you will have a combination of:

  • A relevant degree (ideally a STEM subject) with strong grades
  • An understanding of market research and the management of research projects (from project set-up and questionnaire design through to analysis and reporting)
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with an intellectually curious attitude
  • A strong analytical skillset and a keen eye for detail
  • Discipline in learning and following processes and techniques
  • Strong organisational, planning, and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Familiarity with Q research software (desirable)
  • A can-do attitude!

Above all, though, you embody Turnstile’s values of Empathy, Dynamism, Discipline and Integrity in your daily work.
